"Welcome to our school! My name is Stephanie Payet and I am the proud founder of this institution, born from a lifelong passion for education and a dream to create a space where every child can thrive, grow, and embrace their potential.

 

From a young age, I believed in the transformative power of education—a belief that has guided my journey every step of the way.

After earning a Master’s in Human Resources Management, I began my professional career working in both small and international organizations, gaining valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and organizational development. But my true calling led me back to my first love: education.

 

In 2016, I moved to Reunion Island with my family, driven by a vision to create an educational environment that nurtures both academic excellence and personal growth. Without significant financial resources, I started small, offering tutoring services.

However, with unwavering determination, this vision grew into reality when I opened the island’s first Montessori school in August 2018.

What started as a modest endeavor quickly flourished our school grew in size, relocating to a larger space in 2020 and expanding further in 2021 with the addition of a Montessori middle school.

I am particularly proud of our first middle school graduating class in 2024, whose success in earning their national diplomas with honors reaffirmed our commitment to providing an education that balances academic rigor with personal development.

Inspired by this success, I opened a second school in 2022, focused exclusively on preschool education, continuing to extend our philosophy of personalized, child-centered learning.

​

Throughout this journey, I have remained deeply committed to professional growth, completing training with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), the global authority on Montessori education established by Dr. Maria Montessori, for all stages of Montessori education from birth to 18 years, as well as becoming a certified Montessori School Administrator.

In 2024, my work was recognized when I was appointed Representative for Independent Private Schools by the Rector of Reunion, a milestone that reflects the impact of our approach to education.

​

Today, I am excited to bring the Montessori philosophy to Mauritius, a country whose rich cultural diversity makes it the perfect home for a new chapter in this adventure. At our school, we embrace the principles of autonomy, discipline, respect for the environment, and a lifelong love of learning. It is my deepest joy to work alongside passionate educators, dedicated families, and, most importantly, our incredible students to create a vibrant community where children feel empowered to explore their potential and succeed in a rapidly changing world.
